Room Requirements
- Barbara is an animated speaker who likes to move. Please do not put her behind a lectern or head table.
- For audiences with more than 50 people, Barbara will require a cordless hand-held microphone or a hand-held microphone with a long cord (at least 25 feet) and a microphone stand if one is available. She does not like to use a lavalier microphone.
- It is easier to build energy in the room if the audience is seated close to each other. Try to seat people near the front of the room and only have out as many chairs as you are expecting people. Extra chairs can be stacked outside the room and put out if required.
- If the room is rectangular, please have the speaking area in the middle of the long side so Barbara can be as close to the audience as possible.
- Barbara likes to interact with her audience and needs to see them. Please make sure the room is well lit and the lights are on.
- For larger audiences please discuss the size and height of the stage with Barbara directly. Generally, she prefers a 11/2 - 2 foot riser.
- Please have a small table near the speaking area with three bottles of water and a CD player.
